Practical Hints
Bleeding the Fuel System
A com pletely bled fuel system is
imperative fo r perfect engine opera­
tion. During operation, the system is
continuously bled via the over-flow
line.
The entire system m ust be bled
manually after the fuel tank has been
driven com pletely empty.
Note:
Disengage prim er pum p handle prior
to operating it (turn c o u n te rc lo c k ­
wise). Retighten after use.
First, fill fuel tank w ith fuel. Then
operate prim er pump until the by­
pass valve on the injection pum p
opens (hissing noise).
Turning off Engine Manually
If the engine continues operating in
steering lock position “ 0 ” , open hood
and press lever marked ‘ STOP’’ until
the engine stops.
