Seats
Front Power Seats
The sw itches fo r the fro n t seat
adjustm ent are located in each fro n t
door.
Turn ignition key to position “ 2 ” to
provide pow er to the switches.
Seat adjustm ent:
A Seat cushion adjustm ent
B Seatback adjustm ent
S toring seat position of driver's seat:
C Mem ory button
D Position b uttons “ 1” and “ 2 ”
Two seat positions may be stored in
memory. A fte r adjusting the drive r’s
seat position, press the mem ory
bu tto n C and w ithin 3 seconds, the
position b u tto n “ 1” . A second seat
position may be stored in m em ory by
pressing position b u tto n
" 2" .
Recalling seat positions stored in
mem ory:
To recall a seat position stored in
memory, press position button (“ 1”
o r “ 2 ") until seat m ovem ent has
stopped. For safety reasons, the seat
sto p s moving immediately after
releasing the position button.
Note:
If the ignition key is rem oved or in
position “ 1” or “ 0 ” the seats can not
be moved unless the driver's door is
open.
N ote:
P rior to operating the vehicle, the
driver should adjust the seat height
fo r p roper vision as well as fo re /a ft
placem ent and seat back angle to
insure adequate control, reach, oper­
ation, and com fort. The head restraint
should also be adjusted fo r proper
height so that when the cushion is
tip p e d com pletely forward, it should
form a cradle behind the seat
o c c u p a n t’s head.
Both the inside and outside rearview
m irrors should then be adjusted for
adequate rearward vision. Fasten seat
belts. Children under the age of six or
under the w eight of 23 kg/50 lb
should be seated in the back seat
w ith an approved restraint system
properly secured.
All seat, head restraint and rear view
m irro r adjustm ents as well as fasten­
ing of seat belts should only be
accom plished before the vehicle is
pu t into motion.
