Adjustm ent of D river’s S eat and
Front P asseng er’s Seat
M anual:
Fore/aft a d ju s tm e n t: lift h a n d le (1);
slid e seat to d esired p o s itio n and
a llo w h andle to re-engage.
H eight o f seat: raise lever (2);
to raise seat, slid e seat fo rw a rd ;
to lo w e r seat, slid e seat ba ckw a rd ;
a llo w lever to re-engage.
Seat b ack p o s itio n : tu rn handw heel
(3). For fu ll re c lin in g o f backrest,
seat s h o u ld be m oved to one o f the
fo rw a rd -m o s t p o s itio n s and head
re stra in t rem oved. For d rivin g ,
re turn ba ckre st to u p rig h t p o s itio n
and push seat back. R eplace head
restraint.

sw itch e s. These are a cco m m o d a te d
in the fro n t doors.
W hen th e key is w ith d ra w n o r

1 o r 0, seat and seat b a ck can be
a d ju ste d o n ly if th e d riv e r’s d o o r is
open, to a llo w fo r e a sie r e n try to
and e x it fro m th e vehicle.

e ra tio n , and c o m fo rt. Be certain
seat is “ lo cke d in ” by s lid in g fro n t/
rear u n til fu ll e n g a g e m e n t is as­
sured.
The head re s tra in t s h o u ld also be
a d ju ste d fo r p ro p e r h e ig h t so th a t
w h e n th e c u s h io n is tip p e d co m ­
ple te ly fo rw a rd , it s h o u ld fo rm a
cra d le b e h in d th e seat o c c u p a n t’s
head. B o th th e in sid e and o u tsid e
rear vie w m irro rs s h o u ld then be ad­
ju s te d fo r ad e q u a te rearw ard vision.
Fasten seat belts. C h ild re n under
th e age o f six o r u n d e r th e w e ig h t of
23 kg/50 lb sh o u ld be seated in the
b a ck seat w ith an ap p ro ve d re­
s tra in t system p ro p e rly secured.
