Connecting to a surround amplifier/receiver
You have the option of connecting the DVD/video recorder to an audio or digital surround amplifier. The
illustration shows two different connection types:
Variant 1: Connect the audio cinch cable (red and white, not supplied) to the
AUDIO OUT L/R
connections on your DVD/video recorder. Connect the other end to the matching sockets on the AV
receiver. Please take care to ensure that the coloured plugs match the coloured connection sockets.
Variant 2: Connect the coaxial cable to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT on the DVD-/Video recorder and to the
corresponding connection on the surround amplifier.
It is also necessary to enable the digital audio output on your DVD/video recorder (see page 34).
Note: The digital coaxial cable is not supplied.
Connecting another video device
You can also use your DVD/video recorder to record signals from another video device, such as a SAT
receiver, video camera, video recorder or DVD player.
Using the SCART cable, connect the outputs on the external video recorder to the inputs on the DVD/video
recorder, as shown in the illustration.
