What happens to the child groups and systems of the group where I assigned a
new policy?
All child groups and systems that are set to inherit the specific policy category, inherit the policy
applied to a parent group.
How are the groups and systems where a policy is applied affected when the
policy is modified in the Policy Catalog?
All groups and systems where a policy is applied receive any modification made to the policy at the
next agent-server communication. The policy is then enforced at each policy enforcement interval.
I assigned a new policy, but it’s not being enforced on the managed systems. Why?
New policy assignments are not enforced until the next agent-server communication.
I pasted policy assignments from one group or system (source) to another
(target), but the policies assigned to the target location are not the same as the
source location. Why not?
When you copy and paste policy assignments, only true assignments are pasted. If the source location
was inheriting a policy that you selected to copy, it is the inheritance characteristic that was pasted to
the target, so the target then inherits the policy (for that particular policy category) from its parent,
which might be a different policy than the one that was inherited onto the source.
