Front Telephone – Rear Cabin
Important notes
Please read chapter "Telephone" be-
fore attempting to operate your tele-
phone.
If the signal is very weak (display in
the status bar):
Wait until reception improves before
placing a call.
Close the windows and reduce all ex-
ternal noise as much as possible when
using hands-free operation.
A brief disconnection from the mo-
bile network is not a malfunction, as
this can occur when the network
switches areas. The phone automati-
cally attempts to again sign on with a
network.

This Operator’s manual describes all
features, standard or optional, po-
tentially available for your vehicle at
the time of purchase. Please be aware
that your vehicle might not be
equipped with all features described
in this manual.

Never operate a radio transmitter provid-
ed with a built-in or attached antenna (i.e.
without being connected to an external
antenna) from inside the vehicle while the
engine runs. Doing so could lead to mal-
function of the vehicle's electronic system,
possibly resulting in an accident and per-
sonal injury.
Tips on telephone operation

Once the cell phone specified for
your Maybach vehicle is inserted into
the cradle in the front cabin, it can be
operated from the rear cabin by:
using the audiovisual system and
remote control
Descriptions in this Operator’s Manu-
al presume that the cell phone is in-
serted into the telephone cradle in
the front cabin.

This section describes operation of
the front telephone using the rear
audiovisual system and remote con-
trol. Unless otherwise specified, the
descriptions and illustrated displays
refer to the rear audiovisual displays .
Operation of the cell phone in the
rear cabin using the cradle and hold-
er is explained in the vehicle Opera-
tor’s Manual. Operation of the cell
phone itself is explained in a separate
operation guide.

Radio transmitters, such as a portable
telephone or a citizens band unit,
should only be used inside the vehicle
if they are connected to a separate
exterior antenna approved by us for
use on Maybach vehicles.
