Video - Rear Cabin

DVD operation

DVDs must be treated with care in or-
der to prevent playback problems.

Avoid scratches, finger prints, and
dust on the DVDs.

Do not affix labels, nor write on the
DVDs.

Clean the DVDs regularly, using a
commercially available, soft cleaning
tissue. Never wipe in circular motion,
always wipe from the center straight
out.

DVDs ejected after use should imme-
diately be stored in the DVD-Box.

Protect the DVDs against heat and ex-
posure to direct sunlight.

The DVD drive is a laser product of class 1.
Danger of invisible laser radiation exists
when opening the housing, or if the hous-
ing is damaged.

Warning

The housing must not be opened. The DVD
drive does not contain serviceable parts.
For safety reasons, required maintenance/
repair work should be performed only by
qualified service personnel.

General information

The DVD drive is designed to receive
DVDs of IEC 60908 standard. Only
DVDs not exceeding a thickness of 1.3
mm are to be used.

When attempting to insert thicker
data carriers, e.g. data carriers carry-
ing data on both sides (one side DVD,
the other side Audio data), they can-
not be ejected, leading to possible
damage of the drive.

DVD Playback

DVDs not meeting the standards
could be commercially available. Such
DVDs can cause picture or sound
problems, or other unforseeable
playback problems.

The audiovisual system is designed
for playback of standard DVDs meet-
ing the following conditions:

NTSC standard

PAL or NTSC TV standard

Normally, corresponding information
is provided on the DVD, or on the
DVD cover.

The audiovisual sytem is factory-ad-
justed for Regional code 2. This set-
ting can be changed by an authorized
Maybach Studio. Thus, playback of
video DVDs of another Regional code
is possible, provided they have been
produced according to PAL or NTSC
TV standard.
