IMPORTANT!
If you will be using the
AutoLock
:
DO NOT
pull the vehicle belt
all the way out to lock it before
routing the belt.
This will make threading the
shoulder belt into the AutoLock
easier.
If you will not be using the
AutoLock:
Review pages 21-24 and your
vehicle owner’s manual to
determine what kind of vehicle
belt you have and how to lock
a car seat in place.
Forward-Facing
AutoLock
Route Vehicle Belt
• Thread the vehicle belt into
the
Forward-Facing Belt
Path
opening.
• Pull the vehicle belt across
the car seat.
• Then thread it out through
the other belt path opening
as shown.
• DO NOT twist the belt.
Buckle Vehicle Belt
Tighten Belt
• Place your hand in the car
seat.
• Firmly push the car seat
down and towards the
vehicle seat back.
• Pull the shoulder belt (or
the free end of the lap belt)
parallel with the belt path
as shown.
Go to Side of Car Seat
That Does Not Have
Vehicle Buckle
No Vehicle Buckle
Locate AutoLock
Slide
only the shoulder
portion
of the belt up through
the AutoLock as shown.
Pull it up until you cannot pull
it any farther.
