compressor operation and maintenanc e are caused by t he failure to
obser ve basic saf et y rul es or precautions . An acci dent can often be
avoided by recognizing a pot entiall y haz ardous situation befor e it
occurs, and by obs ervi ng appropriate saf et y proc edures. Basic saf et y
precautions are outlined in the “SAF ETY” section of this Instructi on
Manual nad i n t he sections which c ont ain the operation and
maintenanc e instructions. Hazards t hat must be avoi ded t o prevent
bodil y injur y or machi ne damage are identified by WARNINGS on t he
compressor and in t his I nstruction Manual. Never use this c ompressor
in a manner that has not been s pecificall y rec ommended by
manuf acturer, unless you fi rst c onfir m t hat t he planned use will be
safe for you and ot hers.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
1. NEVER TOUCH MOVING PARTS
Never place your hands, fingers or ot her body parts near t he
compressor’s moving parts.
2. NEVER OPERATE W ITHOUT ALL GUARDS IN PL ACE
Never operate this compress or without all guards or safet y f eat ures
in place and in proper wor king order. If mai ntenance or servici ng
requires the removal of a guard or safet y f eat ures, be sure to
replace the guar ds or s afet y f eat ure bef ore res uming operation of
the c ompressor.
3. ALW AYS W EAR EYE PROT ECTION
Always wear saf et y goggles or equivalent eye prot ection.
Compress ed air must never be ai med at anyone or any part of t he
body.
4. PROTECT YOURSELF AG AINST ELECTRIC SHOCK
Prevent body cont act wit h grounded surf aces suc h as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigeration enclos ures. Never operate t he
compressor in damp or wet locations .
5. DISCONNECT THE COMPRESSOR
Always disconnect t he compressor from the power source and
remove the compressed air from t he air tank before s ervicing,
inspecti ng, maintai ning, cleaning, replacing or c hec king any parts.
6. AVO ID UNINTENTIONAL ST ARTING
Do not carr y t he compress or while it is connec ted t o its power
source or when t he air tank is filled wit h c ompressed air. Be s ure
the knob of t he pressure switc h in the “OFF” positi on bef ore
connecting t he c ompressor t o its power source.

STORE COMPRESSOR PROPERLY
When not in us e, t he
compressor should be st ored in dry place. Keep out of reach of
children. Loc k-out the storage area.

10. DRESS PRO PERLY
Do not wear loose clothing or jewerly.T hey
can be caught in moving parts. Wear prot ecti ve hair covering to
cont ain long hair.
11. DON’T ABUSE CORD
Never yank it to disconnec t from
recept able. Keep cord from heat , oil and shar p edges.
12. MAINT AIN COMPRESSOR W ITH CARE
F ollow instruc tions for
lubricating. Inspect cords periodicall y and if damaged, have
repaired by aut horized ser vice facilit y. I nspect extension c ords
periodicall y and repl ace if damaged.
13. OUTDOOR USE EXTENSION CORDS
When c ompressor in us ed
out doors, use only ext ension cor ds int ended for use out doors and
so marked.
14. ST AY ALERT
Watch what you are doi ng. Use c ommon s ens e.
Do not operat e c ompressor when you are tired.
Compress or should never be used by you if you are under t he
influence of alcohol, dr ugs or medication that makes you drows y.
15. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS AND AIR LEAK
Before further
use of t he compr essor, a guard or ot her part is damaged should
be c arefull y c hec ked to det ermine t hat it will operat e properl y and
perfor m its i ntended function. C hec k for alignment of moving
parts, bindi ng of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounti ng, air
leak, and any other conditions t hat may af fect its operati on. A
guard or other part t hat is damaged s houl d be properly repaired
or replac ed by an aut horized ser vice c ent er unless otherwise
indicat ed els ewher e in this I nstructi on Manual. Have def ecti ve
pressure s witches replac ed by authorized ser vice c ent er. Do not
use c ompressor if s witc h does not tur n it on and of f.
16. NEVER USE COMPRESSOR FOR APPLIC ATIONS OTHER
THAN THOSE SPECIFI ED.
Never us e c ompressor for applications other than those specified in
the I nstructi on Manual. Never use c ompressed air f or breathing or
respiration.
17. H ANDLE COMPRESSOR CORRECTLY
O perate the
compressor acc ording to the instruc tions provided herein. Never
allow t he compress or to be operated by children, indivi duals
unf amiliar with its operation or unauthorized personnel.
18. KEEP ALL SCREW S, BOLTS AND COVERS TI GHTLY IN
PLACE
Keep all screws, bolts , and plat es tightl y mount ed.
Chec k t heir condtions periodic ally.
19. KEEP MOTOR AIR VENT CLEAN
The motor air vent must be
kept clean so t hat air can freely fl ow at all times. Chec k f or dust
build-up frequentl y.
20. OPER ATE COMPR ESSOR AT THE RAT ED VOLT AGE
Operat e t he c ompressor at voltages specified on their
namepl ates . If using the compress or at a higher volt age than the
rated volt age, it will result in abnormally f ast mot or revolution and
mey damage the unit and bur n out t he motor.
21. NEVER USE A COMPRESSOR W HICH IS DEFECTIVE OR
OPERAT ING ABNORMALLY
If the compressor appears to be
operating unusually, making strange nois es, or otherwise
appears defecti ve, stop using it immediatel y and arrange f or
repairs by a aut horized ser vice c ent er.
22. DO NOT W IPE PLASTIC PARTS W ITH SOLVENT
Solvents
such as gasoline, thinner, benzine, carbon t etrachl oride, and
alcohol may damage and crac k plastic parts. D o not wipe them
with s uch s ol vents. Wipe plastic parts with a soft clot h lightly
dampened with s oapy water and dr y thoroughl y.
23. USE ONLY GENUINE REPLACEMENT PARTS
Replacement parts not original may void your warrant y and c an
lead t o malf unc tion and res ulting injuries. Genuine parts are
availabl e from your dealer.
24. DO NOT MODIFY THE COMPRESSOR
Do not modif y the compr essor. Al ways c ont act t he aut horized
service c ent er any repairs. Unaut horized modification may not
onl y impair t he compress or performanc e but may also res ult in
accident or injur y t o repair personnel who do not have t he
required knowledge and tec hnical expertise t o perfor m the repair
operations correctl y.
25. TURN OFF THE PRESSURE SW ITCH W HEN THE
COMPRESSOR I S NOT USED
When the compress or is not used, turn t he knob of the pressure
switch OFF, disconnect it from the power source and open t he
drain coc k to discharge the compr essed air from t he air tank.
26. NEVER TOUCH HOT SURFAC E
To reduc e the risk of burns, do not touch t ubes, heads, c ylinder
and motors.
27. DO NOT DIRECT AIR STREAM AT BODY
Risk of injur y, do not direct air stream at persons or ani mals.
28. DR AIN T ANK
Drain tank dail y or after 4 hours of use. Open drain fitting and tilt
compressor t o empt y acc umulat ed water.
