Step 5:
Check the connectors of the faulty power module and confirm whether the pin is
bent or falls off.
Step 6:
Install the power module to another power slot and view whether it can work
normally. If yes, it indicates that the previous power slot may be damaged. If
no, do the next step (before the switch is powered off, be careful to confirm
whether the service can be interrupted).
Step 7:
Use the same model of power module to be installed on the previous power slot,
connect the same power input wire, and view whether the power module can
work normally. If yes, the previous power module may be damaged. Please
contact the agent or the local technical engineer to change.
5.3 Fan Troubleshooting
The configured fan module of S12800 is FAN-19A-01. FAN-19A-01 fan module is the
mandatory module of SM12800-12-MF (V1) and supports hot-swap. SM12800-12-MF (V1) has
four fan modules and should be installed with four FAN-19A-01 modules so that the system
can run normally.
There is one status indicator on the panel of the fan module, used to indicate the working
status of one fan module. The definition is as follows:
Table 5-2 The meaning of the FAN indicator on the fan module panel
Indicator Name
Indicator Color
Status
FAN
Red and green
Off: The fan does not work
Green: The fan works normally
Red: The fan works abnormally.
When the FAN indicator on the fan module panel displays red, it indicates that the fan module
fails. Please refer to the following steps for troubleshooting:
Step 1:
Check whether the power module works normally. For details, refer to
Troubleshooting about Power Fault
.
Step 2:
View whether the fan is blocked by something. If yes, clear up and ensure that
the air duct is unblocked.
Step 3:
Check whether the fan module is installed well. You can remove the fan module
and insert it again to view the fan module recovers to normal.
Step 4:
If there is condition, try to replace the fan module. Check whether the replaced
fan module can work normally. If yes, it indicates that the previous fan module
is damaged.
