6. IR REMOTE CONTROLLER
The IR remote controller is the most convenient way to control the MCP-601 scan converter. Most of
the functions are similar to the one controlled by the Magni Premier application software.
The IR controller acts as the operational control in selecting graphics input, video input and video
formats, while the LEDs on the MCP-601 indicate the selected input and output status. Following are
the description for each section of the controller. Refer to the controller faceplate on Figure 6-1

Press any of the five input; SDI, CPST, CPNT, Y/C, and CPST2 will select it as the overlay video input
source. Input select operates in an ON/OFF toggle mode. Press any input key once selects the input,
press it the second time will turned that input off and the MCP-601 will then be in the
Graphics Scan

mode.
