Genlock Bandwidth
Genlock filter mode selection also affects the output bandwidth of the incoming analog video signal.
However, it has no effect on the SDI digital signal. There are three filter modes:
Broadcast
Relatively stable and full bandwidth studio signals
VTR
For signal from VTR that have horizontal to subcarrier timing
variations.
TV
Setup for off-air signal that have noise as well as timing variations.
Loss of input video or Genlock Source
When a selected video input is missing, the front panel LED is off and the outputs will then
reference to the internal clock. The output will return to the genlock mode, and the Genlock LED
will light when the genlock signal return.
When the REF IN signal is selected as the genlock source, as in the Input None case, the video
output is free running.
SCH and Subcarrier Phase Adjustment
The SCH timing of the Composite video output is preset to SCH 0 for Genlock to Internal Clock and
to the SDI input at the factory. If necessary, it can be adjusted with the following procedure. From
the IR controller, press CAL, select 7129 NTSC (or PAL) DIGITAL by the up-down arrow, then
select SCH Phase 0, adjust the phase by the left-right arrow.
NOTE: Do not press STORE ALL CONSTANTS unless you want these changes to become
permanent. Refer to the section on CAL (Calibration) On Screen Display for further detail.
The SCH timing between the Composite analog input and output is also preset to phase zero. Follow
the procedure if it is necessary to adjust it. From the IR controller, press CAL, select 7129 NTSC (or
PAL) DIGITAL by the up-down arrow, then select Phase, adjust the phase by the left-right arrow.
NOTE: Do not press STORE ALL CONSTANTS unless you want these changes to become
permanent. Refer to the section on CAL (Calibration) On Screen Display for further detail.
