Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization
It is important to establish a routine for the cleaning, disinfection or sterilization of the equipment and
its components.
The following are the main ways of cleaning, disinfecting or sterilizing according to the characteristics
of each component and the equipment.
•
Before use, perform the cleaning, disinfection and sterilization procedures as specified
in this manual.
8.1 External Parts
External ventilator surfaces of Fleximag Max shall be cleaned with a clean, soft cloth moistened with
the enzymatic detergent.
•
Make sure that the equipment is turned off to perform cleaning of the display.
•
Make sure that no residue builds up in the equipment connections.
•
For cleaning, do not use non-compatible polymer products.
8.2 Components
Components that come in contact with respiratory gases shall be periodically disassembled for cleaning,
disinfection or sterilization, which are: proximal flow sensor, silicone line and integrated valve.
8.2.1 PROXIMAL flow sensor, silicone line and integrated valve
