Reporting/Configuration Commands:
$LSF – Lock System Functions (M3)
This command locks the serial ports from controlling the switch in a multi-user system. This is necessary so that
significant switch configuration changes can all be accomplished without interruption by one user.
An “unlock” event will occur after a two minute timeout.
The serial port being used to submit this command is not affected (or you might lock yourself out!).
Serial port lockout:
Command: $LSF0,*,*,x
<CR>
Response:
OK>
<LF><CR>
x =
0 = unlock, 1 = lock
Note:
There is a 2 minute timeout on this command within the CPU firmware, in case the “unlock” command
gets lost.
If a user at another port tries to interact with the switch, that user will receive an “ER03>” response until the
system is unlocked. That user will need to retry that command later.
ALM – Alarm Control (M3)
Enable/Disable/Mute the audible alarm. This command affects all frames in the switch matrix.
Disable alarms: $ALM0
Enable alarms:
$ALM1
$RSV – Report Software Versions (M3)
Command:
$RSV
<CR>
(One line for each frame)
Response:
version info string
<LF> <CR>
OK>
<LF><CR>
Version info string:
frame,bootloader,application,SAP bootloader,SAP application
frame = frame address
bootloader = CPU board bootloader version
application = CPU application code version
SAP bootloader = SAP board bootloader version
SAP application = SAP application code version
One group of three fields are transmitted for every frame in the current system. At the end of every group there
is one
<LF>
and one
<CR>
.
Absent frames will not be included in the response string.
