15.3.1 Restrictions
Comparing to actual PLC, XG-SIM have the following restrictions.
15.3.1 Watchdog Timer
Watchdog timer is installed in XGI PLC to prevent a created PLC program from working abnormally. On the
other hand, XG-SIM executes scan at lower speed than actual XGI series PLC, so the watchdog timer set in
the basic parameter does not work properly.
15.3.2 Communication module
XG-SIM does not provide any COM functions. Therefore, the following function blocks created by a program
are saved as the internal data of XG-SIM and they are not actually used for communication.

15.3.3 Non-rack type PLC

Module simulation
XG-SIM operates based on rack type PLC of XGK. In case of small PLC such as XGB-XBMS, dedicated
instruction such as PITAT and some items such as basic parameter/built-in parameter doesn’t operation
normally.
