• When replacing the top cover, make sure
the control cam for the safety switch is
pointing to the right hand side, otherwise
the unit will not operate.
• Connect the earth cable.
The lamp contains mercury. Do not discard
with regular trash. Disposal as hazardous
waste is required.

Connecting the Unit
• Insert the flexible single branch liquid light guide with the Ø16mm fitting into the light guide
socket 2 in the front panel of the light source until it seats with an audible click.
Shutter will not operate unless light guide is fully inserted.
When using a dual branch liquid light guide the two branches must be positioned vertically
above each other in the light guide socket in the front panel.
• Insert the light guide all the way into the socket 2 and rotate it until it snaps into vertical position.
Be sure that no fingerprints are on the light entry or the light exit ends of the light guide.
Fingerprints can be removed with a lint-free kerchief and pure alcohol.
Any contamination which has not been removed will bake to the light guide and result in
premature deterioration of performance.
• Connect power cord and plug the unit into a properly grounded AC outlet.
• Connect foot switch on the backside of the system, if it is required.
