11.1. Servicing
WARNING
Cut hazard from rotating objects
Rotating objects can cut, crush or sever limbs on contact.

Maintenance and repair may only be performed with the machine switched off

Maintenance and repair may only be performed by trained personnel

The machine must be secured against accidental startup
 Never open the blade guard while the saw blade is in motion
WARNING
High-pressure fluid injection hazard
A pinhole in a damaged high pressure hydraulic hose can inject oil under the skin. This can cause gangrene
and may lead to amputation.
 Always keep hydraulic hoses in good shape
 Check lines with a piece of cardboard, not your bare hands

Wear your personal protective equipment

If you suspect to have a fluid injection injury, go to the nearest Hospital Emergency Unit
IMMEDIATELY.
Cleaning
To protect the painted surfaces, no aggressive cleaning agents may be used.
High-pressure cleaners may not be used on electronic components.
Motor oil
Only use DEUTZ- approved motor oil. Minimum quality is DQC III-10 LA. If lower grade oils are used, the
service interval frequency will double, and warranty may be void.
Dispose of used oil in an environmentally responsible manner at your local waste disposal facility. Follow the
instructions in the engines operating manual that comes with the machine, especially the security and
maintenance sections.
Radiator anti-freeze Only use DEUTZ- approved radiator anti-freeze DQC C_-14. If lower grade anti-freeze is used, the service
interval frequency will double, and warranty may be void.
Grease
Use only quality grease on the grease nipples. The grease used by the manufacturer is „Energrease LS2 BP“.
(Lithium-based multi-purpose grease NLGI-Class 2 / DIN 51818 / NLGI GC – LB Grade 2
Hydraulic oil The hydraulic oil must meet or exceed HVLP Quality standards (DIN 51524-3 / ISO 6743/4)
and have an ISO viscosity Class of 68.
These stated qualities apply to the standard use of the machine in average climatic conditions.
For extremely heavy-duty use under extreme climatic conditions, other specifications may be required.
