Thermal drift
- a changing distance or angle between two objects associated with a changing
temperature distribution within the structural loop.
Thermal drift plot
- a time-based record of thermal drift.
Thermal drift value
- the difference between the maximum and minimum values over a
specified period of time and under specified conditions.
Tilt error motion
- error motion in an angular direction relative to the Z reference axis. Coning,
wobble, swash, tumbling and towering errors are common but inexact terms for tilt error
motion.
Tilt thermal drift
- applicable to a tilt displacement relative to the Z reference axis.
Total error motion
- the complete error motion as recorded.
Total error motion value
- the scaled difference in radii of two concentric circles from a
specified error motion center just sufficient to contain the total error motion polar plot.
