CLEANING AND INSPECTIONS
• Vacuum out an y aluminum shavings that ma y
have accumulated inside o f the gun. ( See
Correcting Wire Shaving Issues in this section ) .
• Wi p e o ff dust and debris.
• Check that the gun tube and its lock nut are
p ro p erl y tightened to the cable connector.
• R e p lace an y warning or p roduct identi f ication
decals that have become illegible.

GAS DIFFUSER REPLACEMENT
This p art ma y need to be re p laced i f it
has accumulated excessive s p atter and
cannot be cleaned:
1. R emove gas cone and contact ti p .
2. Care f ull y gras p gun tube with p liers
to p revent accidentall y loosening gun
tube. G as di ff user has right-hand
threads. Loosen gas di ff user with
wrench. ( See Figure D.1 )

p lace in gun tube. Tighten di ff user to
41 to 47 in.-lbs. with Tor q ue Wrench.
