Changing the Greeting
The greeting can be up to eleven characters and is displayed on the first
line of your phone’s display screen in Standby mode.
To change your greeting:
1.
From the main menu, highlight
Settings
and press .

and press .
5.
Enter your new greeting. (See “Selecting a Character Input Mode” on
page 38.)

Changing the Display Pictures
Your new Sprint PCS Phone offers options for what you see on the display
screen while powering on or off.
To change the power on or power off display image:
1.
From the main menu, highlight

Highlight an item and press . (There are three default images and

Silent Mode
There may be times when you need to silence your phone entirely. The
phone’s Silent Mode allows you to mute all sounds without turning your
phone off.
To change your phone’s Silent Mode:
1.
From the main menu, highlight

Silent Mode
and press .
4.
Highlight
On
or
Off
and press . When Silent Mode is activated, your
phone’s display screen will show “Silent Mode.”
Tip:
You can also activate Silent Mode by pressing and holding the
volume down key in Standby mode. To deactivate Silent Mode, press and
hold the volume up key.
Changing the Backlight Time Length
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and
keypad are backlit after any key press is made.
To change the backlight setting:
