CAUTION! Resistance measurements may be performed only on de-energized
measuring objects. If a voltage of approx. > 3 V or a current of approx. > 50mA (RI
~ 20
Ω ) is detected during the automatic voltage test that is conducted prior to the
measurement, the measurement is cancelled and a corresponding warning will be
displayed.
Note:
Owing to the large measuring current and automatic pole-changing, measurements
performed on inductances may generate high induction voltages, which may falsify
the measurement result and expose the pole-changing relays to excessive wear.
Therefore measurements must not be performed on resistances with parallel
Inductance

5 H (e.g. motor windings etc.).
Error Messages:
Flashing symbols on the display generally signify illegal conditions or errors, for
further information see section 3.11 „Display hints“.

„ “ activates the automatic continuity check. The signal
symbol will appear on the display. The continuity check is started automatically.
<2Ohm are being checked. The positive pole of the voltage is applied to L2 and the
mass is applied to L1 – there is no reversal of polarity.
The display
„con“ and an acoustic signal indicate that the measured resistance
value is smaller than or equal to 2 Ohm.
If the measured resistance is greater than 2 Ohm
„>2 Ohm “ is displayed.

In case an external voltage occurs during a continuity check, the acoustic signal will
change. Turn off the voltage immediately or disconnect the measuring lines!
Prolonged exposure of the activated measuring instrument to external voltage
(mains voltage) will cause damage (presetting too high).
