2 System description
2.1 System layout
The LaserB i t communication link comprises two Laser Heads - one at each end
- and the associated supporting hardware. All interface connections together with
the power supply are housed in the Outdoor Interconnection Unit.
The Laser Head is connected to the Outdoor Interconnection Unit via UTP cable.
This cable carries the digital signals between the head and the Outdoor
Interconnection Unit and provides power connection to the Laser.
