3-15 LOADING THE UPPER DECK

Pull the trailer axles all the way forward.

Unlock and lower the middle arm as far
down as it will go
(See Figure 3-9).

Unlock and lower the rear arm until the
back edge of the upper deck touches the
lower deck.

Unlock and raise the front arm as high
as it will go.

Make sure the trailer axles are all the
way forward. Tilt the trailer with the
TRAILER TILT
CONTROL
until the ap-
proach plate of the lower deck touches the
ground.
3-15.6
Connect winch #2
(See Figure 3-6)
to
the vehicle and pull it to the front of the up-
per deck. Make sure there is adequate clear-
ance between the over-cab vehicle and the
vehicle on the trailer to allow for swing clear-
ance. 2-1/2 feet clearance is usually re-
quired. Secure vehicle with chains
(See Sec-
tion 3-17)
