4-3 FRAME AND DECK

4-3.1

Repairing Structural Defects

If any structural defect is found, the fault must

be corrected before further use of the vehicle. To

continue usage could endanger the semitrailer, its

load, personnel, traffic, and properties. If any

cracks or breaks are found, return the semitrailer

to Landoll factory for repairs. Inspect the deck daily

for broken or missing attachments. Replace any

defective parts promptly.

4-4 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

4-4.1

General

CAUTION

DO NOT ALLOW ALUMINUM BRIGHTE-

NER OR OTHER ACID COMPOUNDS

TO CONTACT HYDRAULIC HOSES.

THE HOSE COVERS ARE SUSCEPTI-

BLE TO ACID DETERIORATION.

Check the oil level of the tractor wet kit hy-

draulic tank weekly, or after any leakage.

See

Table 4-1

for proper hydraulic oil. Check the

hydraulic oil level with hydraulic cylinders in

the retracted position. Disengage the hydrau-

lic pump.

Overfilling can cause hydraulic fluid over-

flow during operation.

4-4.2

Pressure Settings

All sections on the 6 spool valve are set at

2500 psi. Sections 7 and 11 on the 5 spool

valve are set at 2500 psi. Sections 8, 9 and

10 have relief valves. The front ports of sec-

tions 8 and 9 should be set at 1500 psi and

the rear ports at 500 psi. The front port of

section 10 should be set at 2500 psi and the

rear port at 500 psi.

(See Figure 4-2).
