6.3. Configuration Menu
By clicking on the
Configuration
tab, you will be brought to the main
page of the
Configuration
menu. From this window you can see
details about your network, software and hardware, while also being
able to restart or shutdown your LaCie Ethernet Disk mini.
6.3.1. Machine Name
By clicking on the blue button to the right of
Machine Name
,
in the
Network
section of the
Configuration
menu, you will be
taken to the
Change Machine Name
page. From here you can
modify the name of the LaCie Ethernet Disk mini. If you have
changed the name, click the
Submit Changes
button to
activate your changes. The default machine name for the LaCie
Ethernet Disk mini is “
EDmini
.”
Important Info:
For optimal performance, keep the
name of the LaCie Ethernet Disk mini under 16
characters, and do not use characters, such as:
? < > / \ :.
