2.1 Minimum System Requirements
Hardware requirements:
• Mac with a USB 1.1 interface or PC with USB 2.0 or 1.1 interface
Or:
• Mac or PC equipped with FireWire/IEEE 1394/iLink interface card (SBP-2 compatible) that support mass storage devices.
Important Note:
If you have a 4-pin connector on your FireWire interface card, you will need to purchase a
4-to-6 pin FireWire cable.
System Requirements:
• Mac OS 9.x and 10.x (Apple USB support 1.3.5 and greater; Apple FireWire support 2.3.3 and greater)
• Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows Me and Windows XP
• Intel Pentium II/350MHz-compatible processor or greater; minimum 64MB RAM

Important Note:
Compression is dependent upon the data that you are trying to compress. Most applications
already optimize file size by compressing the data as soon as it is saved, and therefore you will not be able to
compress the data any further.
