The Problem
Questions to Ask
Possible Solutions
Data is not being written to tape.
Is the cassette write-protected?
Eject the cassette and check its
write-protection tab (see
page 1

for
more details). If the cassette is
write-protected, slide the tab as
indicated. If this does not correct the
problem, try another tape.
Is the cassette faulty?
Check the Tape LED. If it is flashing
slowly, the tape needs to be changed.
Eject the tape and replace it with a
new one. If performance does not
improve, the drive may be defective.
