disconnect it from the mains before taking it
out. The clipper may never be used again if it
has fallen into water.
• When the clipper is used in bathrooms, you
should always disconnect it from the mains
after use as proximity to water constitutes a risk
even when the clipper is switched off.
• Additional protection may be provided
through the installation of a fault-current
safety feature with a breaking current of less
than 30 mA in the buildings‘ systems.
We recommend that you have an electrician pro-
tect the power circuits with an FI protective circuit.
Never take the appliance into operation when
• the clipper, the mains plug or the power cable
has been damaged.
• the clipper has been dropped, there is visible
damage to the cutting head or its functioning is
restricted as otherwise it may damage the skin.
• the clipper has been damaged to such an
extent that electrical components are exposed.
• liquid or foreign bodies have penetrated the
clipper.
Always immediately disconnect from the mains
and inform the technical customer services.
• Please check whether the mains voltage cor-
responds to the voltage indicated on the mains
adapter‘s type plate.
• This clipper is not intended for use by people
(including children) with limited physical, sen-
sory or mental capacities and is not intended
for use by such persons who do not possess the
required experience and knowledge – unless
they are being accordingly supervised or
instructed in the use of the clipper by a person
who is responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the clipper.
• Also keep packaging materials, e.g. films,
away from children.
• Protect the power cable from damage; never
pull on the power cable. Take hold of the mains
adapter when you pull it from the plug socket.
Keep the cable and the clipper away from hot
surfaces. Regularly check the power cable for
damage. The insulation may not be damaged
or crushed. Never wind the cable around the
clipper.
• Repairs may only be carried out by authorised
customer services to prevent any risks.
• The clipper‘s power cable must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its customer services or
similarly qualified persons when it has become
damaged to prevent risks.
• Do not expose the clipper to extreme tempe-
ratures for extended periods of time (below 0°C
/ over 40°C).
• Do not touch the blade when the hair clipper
is switched on.
• Disconnect the hair clipper from the mains
before cleaning it.
• Only attach or remove the supplied comb
attachments when the clipper is switched off.
The use of comb attachments other than those
supplied may impair the clipper‘s functioning
or even damage it.
• Only use the appropriate KYONE charging
station to charge the hair clipper.
Disposal
The electrical appliance must be
handed over to the local public
disposal facilities for disposal if it is
no longer to be used. Such disposal
facilities usually operate special acceptance
points for electrical appliances (recycling yards,
reusable-materials yards, etc.).
