When your phone is connected to the 4G LTE network, the LTE icon
appears in the Status bar
and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands displayed).
Note:
The network is self-discoverable, which means no additional steps are required for your
phone to connect to it.
Data Connection Status and Indicators
Your phone displays the current status of your data connection through indicators at the top of the
screen. The following symbols are used:
Icon
Description
Network
(full signal): The number of bars indicate the strength of the signal. More
bars mean a better signal.
4G LTE
(data service): Your phone is connected to the 4G LTE network (data
service).
3G
(data service): Your phone is connected to the 3G network. When the icon is
animated, your phone is transferring or receiving data.
Launch a Web Connection
Launching a Web connection is as simple as opening the browser on your phone.

Note:
Internet connections can be made either through 3G or 4G LTE service or via Wi-Fi
(configured within the
Settings
>
Wi-Fi
page).
While connecting, you may see an animation. Once complete, you are connected to the default
home page.

To change the phone’s default launch page to your current page, touch

Note:
The Browser automatically launches when a Web link is touched from within either an email
or text message.
Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
From your phone, you can add, set up, and manage virtual private networks (VPNs) that allow you
to connect to and access resources inside a secured local network, such as your corporate network.
