(8) Detaching and refitting the heat roller separation claw

Follow the procedure below to replace the heat roller separation claw.

Procedure

1. Open the front cover, tilt the paper conveying

unit release lever down, and pull out the
paper conveying unit.

2. Open the eject cover.
3. Remove the screw holding the thrust pin and

then the pin.

4. Remove the two screws holding the holder

and then the holder. Remove the heat roller
separation claw unit.

5. Remove the spring from heat roller

separation claw.

6. Loosen the screw holding the retainer and

pull out the separation claw shaft.

7. Replace the heat roller separation claw and

all the removed parts.
