Setting Up the Devices and System Operation
This chapter describes how to operate the KY-RAY 3D.03.01 sensor. The following steps must
be taken to have a basic measurement running:
1. Install the devices (see Chapter 6.1)
2. Power up the devices (see Chapter 6.2)
3. Configure the device and perform a test measurement (see Chapter 6.3)
4. Do measurement through using KYMATI Interface Control Document (RD2) (see
Chapter 6.4)
After this procedure, the system may be installed and will start automatically measuring.
6.1
Installation of the KY-RAY 3D.03.01 Sensor
For a proper operation, the following parts must be considered:
The field of view of the devices must cover the area of interest.
When rotating the sensor, the coordinate system of the sensor will also rotate
The point of origin is located at the centre of the radar

After mounting the device, the cable must be connected.
Do not use unintended force to mount the connectors. If the connector does
not fit, check the coding/index notch of the connector.
