Visualization
The visualization tab allows the user to plot the incoming data from the sensor. The user has
the option to plot the distance vs time, snr vs time and distance and snr vs time. The user
interface also shows the user which device is being used to plot the data. If both devices are
connected, then device 1 is used for plotting. Otherwise, the connected device is used to
display the data. Every time that a device is connected or disconnected the graph will be
cleared and plotting will start from the beginning. There is also a reset button available that the
user may use to reset the graph.
Zooming options:
The user may use the plus and minus (+, -) buttons to zoom in and out in the graphs. In case
both axes are used, i.e., distance and snr vs time, then zoom buttons are illustrated on both y-
axis sides. The y-axis increments are used to zoom in and out on the y-axis based on the steps
selected by the user. If the user prefers the auto scaling, then the auto button might be pressed.
The x-axis is another way to zoom in the time axis. Different options are provided to the user
where the user has the option to plot data from N previous minutes. To minimize the resources
needed on the local machine the last 10 min are available for displaying the data.
Pause/Save option:
If the pause/save checkbox is pressed, then the user has the option to save the data using the
save button. In that case a popup window is displayed, and the user shall provide a file name
to save the data in a csv format. The csv format will contain the timestamp of the measurement,
the distance and the SNR value on that specific measurement. It has to be noted here, that
the update rate recorded on the csv file might have a different update rate as there might be
some packet drop-offs.
Additionally, the graph will provide the options to zoom the graph and move around to check
the data in more detail.
