H. CLOSER MOUNTING FRAME OPTIONS:
The 893 closer can replace other Kwik Lok closing
heads utilizing two available mount options. The
closer is attached to the mount with four bolts and
therefore can be easily moved from one style frame
mount to another.
1. The narrow frame mount (08-006314 R / 08-
006314 L) is used to replace non-slide frame
closers, and is marked with the letters “NF”on
the back of the narrow frame.
2. The wide frame mount (08-006323 R / 08-
006323 L) is used to replace slide frame (Model
SF) closers and is marked with the letters
“WF”to the back of the wide frame.
I. BAG TENSIONER BRUSH TENSION:
The contact between the two brushes of the bag
tensioner is adjustable and is used to assist in ob-
taining a tightly closed package. The bag tension
created by the brushes should be just enough to pull
the product up to the bag neck rod. Less tension
can result in a loosely closed bag. Excessive ten-
sion can cause bag damage and potentially impede
the flow of the bag through the brushes.
J. REMOVING CLOSING HEAD:
To remove the closer from the conveyor, loosen the
hinge clamp screw and depress the plunger of the
closer mount adjust post. With the plunger de-
pressed, slip the closer out of position, lift it out of
the bracket and place on a flat surface. Sliding out
the balance bar (located underneath the frame) and
raising the adjust post will provide the required
closer support.
