H. BREAKOFF SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND
ADJUSTMENT:
Figures 6.14, 6.17 and 6.18
1. Disconnect power to the closer.
2. Remove the back cover and then the shield
(08-005852 R or L) from the closer.
3. Locate the breakoff sensor. Loosen the two
locking nuts securing the sensor to the breaker
sensor mount and remove the sensor.
4. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the new sensor.
6. Press down lightly on the breakoff crank until
the linkage is down as far as it will go. At this
point, adjust the breakoff sensor to a gap of
0.032” (or 0.8mm) between the sensor tip and
the sensor pickup blade. Tighten the sensor in
the mount.
7. Connect the electrical cable to the sensor.
Reconnect the electrical supply to the closer
and turn it on.

8. With the sensor adjusted and the breakoff link-
age at the bottom of its stroke, slide the breaker
sensor mount down until the indicator lamp in
the sensor goes on. Tighten the sensor mount.
Check the adjustment again, to insure that the
LED light in the sensor does not go out when
the sensor pickup blade is in the lowest or bot-
tom position.
9. Install the shield and covers.
I. POWER SUPPLY REPLACEMENT:

1. Disconnect power to the closer.
2. Remove the back cover and lower cover of the
closer.
3. Disconnect all connections to the power supply.
4. Remove the three mounting screws securing
the power supply to the closer bottom frame
and remove the defective power supply.
5. Install the replacement power supply.
6. Connect only the “ADN and “ACL” wire leads
from the power switch.
7. Connect a voltmeter to the power supply output
so output voltage can be measured between
terminals “V+” and “V-”.
8. Reconnect the closer to power and turn it on.
9. Use the voltage adjustment screw to adjust the
power supply output voltage to 33VDC.
10. Disconnect the power from the closer and con-
nect the remaining wire leads to the power sup-
ply.
