Timer
The timer serves
• as a kitchen clock,
• as a stop-clock, which you can use at any time, independently of all of the other
appliance functions,
• to switch the oven off automatically, and also to switch the oven on and off
automatically (so-called automatic time functions).
Setting and adjusting the time
Subsequent to connection to the mains or after a power cut, the indicator will blink
and
show .
A time has to have been set in order for the timer to function.

Press the
button.
– The indicator of the hour and the indicator light on the control dial
blink.
$
Use the control dial
to set the hours.
$
Press the
button
once again.
– The indicator of the minutes blinks.
$
Use the control dial
to set the minutes.
– Once the switch-on time has been reached, the clock will start runnning.
The time can be adjusted at any time in the same manner.
The degree of brightness of the time displayed on the clock is automatically
adapted to how light the surroundings are when the appliance is switched off..
In order to save energy, the time indicator can also be switched off. See
page 15.
The time cannot be adjusted if an automatic timer function with a start delay
is in operation; in this case the clear text display will show “first complete
start delay”.
