Resolve common problems
This section describes common problems that you might encounter. To run
diagnostic tests and reports, see the user’s guide.
Symptom Probable Causes Corrective Action
There is no
power in the
InTouch.
If the InTouch is powered using
standard AC power cable
, the
transformer is not properly
plugged in to the main board of
the InTouch, the AC outlet, or
both.
If the InTouch is powered using a standard AC
power cable:
Check the connections to the main board and the
AC outlet.
Important : If the power cord is not plugged into
the AC outlet, do
not
plug it in until you ensure
that the transformer is properly connected to the
main board.
If the InTouch is powered using
Ethernet cable
, the network may
be down, or connections to and
from the Power-over-Ethernet
(PoE) or PoE Plus module may
not be secure.
If the InTouch is powered using Ethernet cable:
• Ensure that the network is running.
• Ensure that the network Ethernet cable is
connected to the main board of the InTouch.
The InTouch
does not boot
up. The microSD card may be loose. Ensure that the microSD card is inserted securely
in the unit.
The power LED
is turned on, but
nothing appears
on the screen.
If the InTouch is powered using a
standard AC power cable
, the AC
line is not live or is supplying
improper voltage.
Measure voltage at the AC outlet and, if
necessary, locate another power source.
Note: When the InTouch starts up, the LED is
amber and the screen is blank for 1-2 minutes. If
the screen remains blank, then there might be a
problem and you can take the corrective action.
If the InTouch is powered using
Ethernet cable
, there is an issue
with the network.
• Check the Ethernet connection at the
InTouch, and all other network connections.
• Ensure that the network is supplied with an
802.11af-compliant (PoE) or 802.11at-
compliant (PoE Plus) power source.
