4.12.2
SysLog Configuration
System Log is useful to provide system administrator locally or remotely monitor switch
events history. There are 2 System Log modes provided by JetNet 6910G-M12, local mode
and remote mode.
Local Mode: In this mode, JetNet 6910G-M12 will print the occurred events selected in the
Event Selection page to System Log table of JetNet 6910G-M12. You can monitor the
system logs in [Monitor and Diag] / [Event Log] page.
Remote Mode: The remote mode is also known as Server mode in JetNet 6910G-M12. In
this mode, you should assign the IP address of the System Log server. JetNet 6910G-
M12G will send the occurred events selected in Event Selection page to System Log server
you assigned.
Both: Above 2 modes can be enabled at the same time.
Once you finish configuring the settings, click on Apply to apply your configuration.
Note: When enabling Local or Both modes, you can monitor the system logs in [Monitor
and Diag] / [Event Log] page.
4.12.3
SMTP Configuration
Jet 6910G-M12 supports E-mail Warning feature. The switch will send the occurred events
to remote E-mail server. The receiver can be notified by E-mail. The E-mail warning
mechanism conforms to SMTP standard.
This page allows you to enable E-mail Alert, assign the SMTP Server IP, Sender E-mail,
and Receiver E-mail. If SMTP server requests for authorizations, you can also set up the
username and password in this page.
