Loading Paper into Tray1

Remove the Bypass Tray.

Load the paper into the tray so that
the front side of the paper (the side
facing up when the package was
unwrapped) faces up.

Slide the paper guides against the
edges of the paper.

H

If Legal-size paper is installed,
open the door of Tray1.

4

Attach the Bypass Tray in its
original position.

Note

If paper with a different size or type is loaded, various settings must be
specified from the “PAPER SOURCE SETUP” menu in the Utility
mode. If the settings are not correctly specified, paper size error may
occur. For details, refer to “Specifying the Setting for “TRAY
SETTING”” on page 7-13.
