METHOD FOR CHECKING AIR CLEANER
NOTICE
The electric air cleaner clogging sensor and dust indicator are used to indicate clogging on the air
cleaner. The electric air cleaner clogging sensor indicates the cleaning timing of the air cleaner element
and the dust indicator indicates the level of clogging.
Check the dust indicator before operating the machine so that cleaning of the air cleaner element is not
required during operation.
1.
Open radiator guard side cover (1) on the right side of ma-
chine, and fix it with the rod.
2.
Clean the element when the yellow piston shown in dust
indicator (2) display entered the red (7.5 kPa
{0.076 kg/cm
2
}) position.
After the cleaning, press the dust indicator button to reset
it.
If the yellow piston enters the red (7.5 kPa {0.076 kg/cm
2
})
position soon after the cleaning, the element must be re-
placed.
For the element replacement procedure, see “METHOD
FOR REPLACING AIR CLEANER ELEMENT (4-18)”.
3.
Release the lock of radiator guard side cover (1) and close it.
