METHOD FOR STEERING MACHINE

k

k

 WARNING

• Avoid steering during high-speed travel or steering on a steep slope, since it is dangerous.
• Do not stop the engine during travel.

It  is  particularly  dangerous  if  the  engine  is  stopped  while  the  machine  is  traveling  on  slopes,  so
never try such practice.
If the engine is stopped during travel, the secondary steering is actuated. However, do not actuate
the secondary steering system except in an emergency.
If the engine stops while traveling, place the machine immediately in a safe place.

• If you want to keep the turning angle of the machine, do not operate the AJSS lever to the opposite

direction.
If you do so, the machine wobbles and it is dangerous.
When the machine is articulated to the position where the desired turning angle of the machine is
obtained, hold the AJSS lever at that position.

• While the machine is turning, do not operate the AJSS lever to the opposite direction.

If you do so, the shock can be generated and it is dangerous.

NOTICE
When steering the machine fully, if the AJSS lever is tilted to its stroke end, do not try to tilt it further.
Check that the operation of steering system is normal.
If any problem is found, ask your Komatsu distributor for inspection.

Front and rear frames of this machine is articulated around the connection pin (center pin) at which the 2 frames
are connected with each other and the rear wheels follow the trace of the front wheels.
While traveling, tilt AJSS lever (1) to the right or left depending
on the desired turning direction of the machine.
The machine turns.
The larger AJSS lever (1) tilts, the larger the articulation angle
becomes.
Tilt AJSS lever (1) lightly as it follows the turning of machine.
