Clean the Inlet Screen (cont.)
NOTE:
The flow restrictor is not expected to come out with the
screen. However, be prepared to catch it if it falls. If required,
reinstall the flow restrictor.
Remove the screen from the inlet arm.
NOTE:
If required, vinegar may be used in order to remove hard
water deposits.
Using gentle brushing and rinsing, remove all debris from the
screen.
After cleaning, reinstall the screen with the tapered screen end
pointing outward.
NOTE:
Use care in tightening the retainer. Do not over tighten.
Thread the retainer into the inlet arm and tighten slightly with a
socket wrench.
Position the valve body and align it to both the control stop valve
and the vacuum breaker.
Ensure that the friction washer is installed between the valve and
the vacuum breaker.
Thread the vacuum breaker nut onto the bottom of the valve
body.
Thread the inlet arm valve nut onto the stop valve.
Use a strap wrench to tighten both nuts.
Open the control stop valve (refer to the
″
Control Stop Valve
Operations
″
section).
Verify the urinal valve’s function.
