Conversion Kit Instructions – PART A
1. Remove Grate Bar assembly or optional Rock Platform by removing the two mounting screws, one from each side.
2. Remove Log Support Plates right and left of burner, log support plates are loose and not fastened in place.
3. Loosen screws from burner retainer tabs and slide burner to the left to remove from orifice.
4. Remove main orifice using a 1/2” wrench and replace with new conversion orifice.
5. Install new pilot orifice and Hi/Low valve regulator by following instructions supplied with conversion kit.
6. Adjust the primary air to the correct setting as specified in the manual or label plate. To adjust air setting, Loosen
screw on the side of air mixing tube and rotate to the correct opening using a drill bit or tape measure. Tighten screw.
7. After converting parts to the new type of gas, reverse all steps to reassemble burner system.
IMPORTANT: Always check for gas leaks with a soap and water solution. DO NOT USE OPEN FLAME FOR LEAK TESTING.
WARNING: This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.
If the information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion or production of carbon
monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life. The qualified service
agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete
until the operation of the converted appliance is checked as specified in the manufacturer's instructions
supplied with the kit.
Caution
: The gas supply shall be shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power, before proceeding
with the conversion.
