Adjustments

Adjustment Procedures

2-Wire Ohms Gain Adjustment

It is recommended you performance verify the 2-wire ohms function ranges for
performance within specification before making 2-wire ohms gain adjustments.
2-wire ohms gain adjustments are automatically made for each range when the
4-wire adjustments are performed. However, you can make individual 2-wire
ohms adjustments following the 4-wire ohms adjustment if you desire. Simply
repeat the procedure given for the 4-wire ohms adjustments using Figures 5-5a
and 5-5b while configured for the 2-wire ohms function (CONF:RES) and change
ranges using RES:RANG.

Test Lead Resistance

You must characterize your test lead resistance and add this to the input
resistance value when doing a 2-wire ohms adjustment. Test lead resistance can
add an significant amount of error to the adjustment if not accounted for.
