M9506A-BC1 5-Slot AXIe Chassis with Integrated Controller User Guide

The Power Supply Unit (PSU) and the Rear Power Assembly

The Power Supply Unit (M9505-64800) in the M9506A chassis is installed in a

separate assembly, referred to here as the Rear Power Assembly (M9506-66601).

The procedure for replacing either of these is essentially the same.
- The rear power assembly with PSU must first be removed from the chassis
- The PSU is removed from the rear power assembly.
- The next step depends on which item is defective and needs to be replaced.

– If the PSU is defective, a new PSU is installed in the original rear power

assembly.

– If the rear power assembly is defective (but the PSU is not), the original PSU

is installed in a new rear power assembly.

- The repaired rear power assembly with PSU is installed in the chassis.
