Troubleshooting

The same process for troubleshooting problems in the M9506A chassis is 

recommended for the M9506A-BC1 chassis. Please refer to the “Troubleshooting” 

section in Chapter 8 of the 

M9506A User Guide

. However, it is important to be 

aware of differences in processes used to replace sub-assemblies in the chassis.
In general, the AXIe chassis has five major subsystems that can be replaced: 
- Left  Fan  Tray
- Right Fan Tray
- Rear  Power  Assembly
- Power Supply Unit (PSU)

*

- Embedded System Module (ESM)

* The PSU gets installed inside the Rear Power Assembly.

Detailed step-by-step instructions for replacing fan trays and the ESM can be 

found in Chapter 8 of the M9506A User Guide. Instructions for replacing the rear 

power assembly and the PSU are provided here.

WARNING

Do not try to remove the rear power assembly without first 

disconnecting the integrated controller cables inside. 

Attempting to do so may result in damage to the cables and/or 

connectors.
