Overview
The M9506A-BC1 integrated controller supports the M9703B, M9709A, and
M9710A family of digitizers.
Since the use of these modules in a single chassis can be any combination of
modules, the programming interface for this integrated controller is configured to
facilitate a module-by-module configuration and management with only a few key
commands being available to control all modules at one time.
Network configuration and management are also accessible via the SCPI
programming interface of this module. It is important to note the network interface
of the integrated controller is accessible via the same network port on the M9506A
chassis as the actual chassis management interface. As such, both the M9506A
and the M9506A-BC1 will utilize a network address for each device.
The command interface documented in this manual applies only to the integrated
controller. The command interface for the M9506A AXIe chassis is documented
separately.
This integrated controller is also configured to utilize the LXI class protocol and
provides a basic web page interface to access the integrated controller and update
the firmware as necessary. Any updates to digitizer firmware or integrated
controller operation will be via this web interface.
The SCPI command interface structure has been structured in accordance with the
definitions in the SCPI-99 interface specification available from the IVI Foundation.
