M9506A-BC1 5-Slot AXIe Chassis with Integrated Controller User Guide

Enabling or Disabling Option BC1

The AXIe chassis supports only a single active controller; either an embedded 

controller module, an external host PC (via PCIe/Thunderbolt) or the integrated 

controller provided by option BC1. The active controller can be configured via the 

web interface of the chassis/ESM module. To disable or enable option BC1, 

proceed as follows:
- On the chassis web interface, select the Configuration tab and scroll down to 

“Option BC1 Mode”.

- Select the “Option BC1 Mode”. Choices are “Enable” or “Disable”. 

Enable means, the internal controller of the Option BC1 is controlling the 

digitizers.

Disable means you need an embedded controller module or an external host 

PC connected via PCIe or Thunderbolt to control AXIe slots.

- Reboot the system. Changes will take effect after the reboot.
