Instructions for use ELECTROmatic TM and TMM/TMC

6 Operation | 6.5 ENDO Mode

If damage or overheating is evident, replace the handpiece or have it re-
paired.

6.5 ENDO Mode

Note

Please note the transmission/reduction ratio of the attached handpieces as
these have an impact on the displayed speed and the display torque of the
clamped tool.

 WARNING

The transmission ratio selected on the device is inconsistent with the
transmission ratio of the handpiece.

Risk of injury from files rotating too fast.

Make sure that the handpiece you use and the setting of the transmission
ratio are consistent.

Note

The control of the device is matched to the efficiency of the KaVo handpieces.
Speed and torque can be assured only with the following KaVo handpieces.

Only use KaVo-approved handpieces with a transmission ratio of 1:1, 3:1
or 8:1.

▶

Use only the KaVo 1:1 shanks listed below in conjunction with the KaVo
1:1 or 3:1 heads listed below or the KaVo 8:1 or 1:1 contra-angle hand-
pieces:

Note

The INTRA LUX KL 703 LED motor has a maximum torque range from 0.15
to 3 Ncm. If the torque is in excess of 2.0 Ncm, KaVo recommends using a
reducing contra-angle handpiece 3:1 or 8:1 in order to reduce the load on
and heating of the motor.
The reducing contra-angle handpiece should be selected appropriately such
that the torques specified by the file manufacturer are within the recommen-
ded torque range (middle column):
