3 Description of the product
The ELECTROmatic is a dental treatment centre for operation of the dental elec-
tric small motor, INTRA LUX Motor KL 703 or the COMFORTdrive motorised
handpiece.
The following versions of the product can be ordered:
▪ ELECTROmatic TM with one INTRA LUX Motor KL 703
▪ ELECTROmatic TMM with two INTRA LUX Motors KL 703
▪ ELECTROmatic TMC with one INTRA LUX Motor KL 703 and one
COMFORTdrive

The various product versions of the ELECTROmatic TM, TMM and TMC are de-
scribed below. The descriptions apply to all product versions, unless explicitly
stated otherwise.
3.1 Intended use
Indications for use:
The ELECTROmatic is intended to convert pneumatic output from a dental
treatment center to electrical energy to drive the COMFORTdrive motor hand-
piece and the INTRA LUX KL 703 LED motor for operation of electrically-driven
dental handpieces. This device is designed for use by a trained professional in
the field of general dentistry.
Proper use:
The overarching guidelines and/or national laws, national regulations and the
rules of technology applicable to medical devices for start-up and use of the
KaVo product for the intended purpose must be applied and followed.
