Ethernet Settings
After calling up the menu you will see the
following on-screen display (example):
Mainmenu - Interface Setup
To confi gure the network settings please refer to the Operating Instructions Part 1 “Connection and
set-up”, “Network/Internet Connection” and the separate instructions “Kathrein portal (Media centre)”
which you can download from “www.kathrein.de”.
An Internet connection is required to use HbbTV!
These settings should not be defi ned unless the receiver is linked into a network (e.g. for
Internet access) or is linked to a PC/laptop using a cross-over network cable.
Refer to the network function connection examples at the end of the Operating Instructions
Part 1 “Connection and set-up” and the instructions available on the Internet at
“www.kathrein.de”.
To connect the receiver to the network via the PC/laptop, you must have unrestricted rights
(administrator rights) for your PC/laptop and on your network.
If you experience problems connecting the receiver to your network directly or via your
PC/laptop, consult your PC or network specialist.
The Ethernet interface used in the
receiver is a 10/100 base T Ethernet
interface.
WOL (Wake on LAN)
Wake on LAN allows other devices within the same network to “wake up” the receiver from standby
mode. Select “On” or “Off” with the

buttons.
